Our mission was to provide our customers with a friendly, fair and supportive and supportive 24/7 emergency repair solution, providing the highest levels of cover, all underwritten by FCA-regulated insurance.

A message from our CEO & Co-Founder

I’ve worked in the property maintenance and repair sector for over two decades. I’ve experienced first-hand how the sector really works, both in the landlord and private homeowner sectors. For fifteen years I was responsible for a large property portfolio for my employer, then in 2017 I started a property maintenance company working directly with private customers in their own homes. Incidentally, that company went on to become one of the UK’s most popular home repair providers. It is a success because we do things differently. We simply did exactly as we promised and we did it very well. It’s not rocket science! Our customers loved us for it - we have a 5 star Trustpilot rating to prove it, plus we were recommended by WHICH?, three years in a row.

However we all know home repairs can be eye-wateringly expensive, especially emergency ones. Good engineers are not cheap, especially if you need one late at night. You get what you pay for in this world right? But what if there was another way? What if there was a solution to not only avoiding huge unexpected repair bills when your boiler suddenly packs-up, but also knowing who to call for help at 4am on a Sunday? Trawling the internet looking for reputable plumber, electrician or other trade is not always straightforward nor is it always safe and people are often taken advantage of in their hour of need. You need somebody you can trust.

In 2018 my partner Emilie and I believed we found the solution, so we co-founded Better Home Cover.

So, no matter what time of day, 365 days of the year, our customers can call our friendly helpline and we will dispatch a verified and qualified engineer to solve their home emergency at no cost to them. In return our customers pay us a low, fair monthly fee.

The thing is, when you buy insurance, you are essentially buying a promise. Our promise to you is that we will be here for you when you need us. And we do this 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Lightning fast customer service, no hidden costs or small print, just big hearted support.

No Hidden Costs

With Better Home Cover, all costs are included. Parts & labour are included and there are no hidden call-out charges or additional fees. Where in order to reduce the amount you pay each year, you have selected a £49 or £95 excess, that is the only amount you will be liable for, in respect of each claim.

Unlimited Call-outs

Our annual aggregate repairs limit is £5,000 and we will come out to you for each and every emergency you suffer that is covered under the insurance.
