I’ve worked in the property maintenance and repair sector for over two decades. And experienced first-hand how the sector really works, both in the landlord and private homeowner sectors. For fifteen years I was responsible for a large property portfolio for my employer, then in 2017 I started a property maintenance company working directly with private customers in their own homes. Incidentally, that company went on to become one of the UK’s most popular home repair providers. It is a success because we did things differently. We simply did exactly as we promised and we did it very well. It’s not rocket science! Home repairs can be eye-wateringly expensive, especially emergency ones. Good engineers are not cheap, especially if you need one late at night. You get what you pay for in this world right? But what if there was another way? In 2018 my partner Emilie and I believed we found the solution, so we co-founded Better Home Cover.

No Hidden Costs
With Better Home Cover, all costs are included. Parts & labour are included and there are no hidden call-out charges or additional fees. Where in order to reduce the amount you pay each year, you have selected a £49 or £95 excess, that is the only amount you will be liable for, in respect of each claim.
Our annual aggregate repairs limit is £5,000 and we will come out to you for each and every emergency you suffer that is covered under the insurance.
